Gilbratar, British Territory May 16, 2012

The title of this excursion in the booklet is "Panoramic Gibraltar with Elegant Tea". Ha! Seriously foggy but Jeff and Kathie were able to "see" Africa (Morocco). All I could see was a barge! That's OK though because I enjoyed the lighthouse. We noted the bus driver/tour guide expressing quite the attitude regarding Spain and Gibraltar's relationship. Spain believes the island is theirs and Britain isn't going to give the "Rock" up any time soon. Makes getting supplies rather difficult. Tolerance seemed rather low!

You can see the rock peaking out with perfect timing for this picture of Terry and Kathie.
And wait for it.....ta da!! Morocco! No, not the sky, this is 12 or 14 miles (?) distance view of African Continent.

See the pinkie fingers? Horrible scones but the tea was OK. The elegance was in the pretty view.

Really windy and cold. I thought it was going to pick Kathie up!

As we were leaving there was a tiny break in the sky. Maybe if we had a couple of hours we could have had the view of Africa.

The rock wall really blends in well with the landscape. I'm sure the Barbary Apes were scrambling around that place.
